Hi and Shalom to the Bethel Christian family,
We want to thank you so very much for your faithful prayer and financial support of our ministry. As this year comes to a close, we’d like to share just a few answers to your prayers for us.
As a result of a message on “Getting to Know Your Jewish Friends” , I was asked to adapt it for a chapter in a textbook on evangelism by TMAI (The Master’s Academy International). Thos. Nelson will publish it for worldwide distribution in early 2025. Pray with us that it will remove the hesitancy Christians have to share the Gospel with their Jewish friends and associates. Much of this is due to religious/historical misconceptions and current media propaganda. (Genesis 12:1-3; Psalm 105:8-11)
The Lord has given us the chance to personally use some of the information from the book. Last Spring we met a semi-retired Israeli-born physician and his dear wife. You’ll never guess where. At our church! It seems they’ve been attending for years as his wife is a believer! As we’ve gotten to know each other, we’ve learned he was born and raised on a kibbutz, was an officer in the IDF, went to med school in Jerusalem and was on staff in a major hospital there. Dr.M.* came to the States to do research and was a member of a research team at a major university. Also, we’ve discovered we have a few things in common: Age; Polish background and married to believing wives. While he’s heard the Gospel for years and doesn’t argue that Jesus is the Messiah, he is not yet saved! Pray that the Holy Spirit will show him. he has a terminal spiritual disease called Sin and that The Great Physician, our Lord Jesus’ death, burial and resurrection is the only remedy that can cure him. (Acts 4:12) Actually, he believes to a point. He’s like the father in Mark 9:24. “I believe; help my unbelief.” Pray for us as the four of us meet and share the Good News and our lives with our dear friend Dr. M!
Lastly, our Zoom Bible Study is going well. We’ve focused our studies on the Perfections or Attributes of God, especially His Sovereign Plan for humanity and National Israel’’s part in it. Also, our local California group had the joy of meeting ‘in person’, two from ‘out of state’. . It was wonderful to see folks who have only known each other on a monitor screen chat and fellowship like they’ve known each other almost all their lives. Will it be like that when we all get to glory? Chat and fellowship with the saints we’ve only known from the pages of Scripture or books? However it will be, it will be great!
Well, you are a part of these and other opportunities the Lord has given us this year. So, Thank You again for your prayers and part in our ministry.
May our gracious Lord bless you with a merry and meaningful Christmas and a fruitful New Year!
Sincerely Yours in Christ,
Marty & Pat Wolf
