Dear Friends,

In the account of the first Christmas that we find in Luke 2, we see that the shepherds, after visiting Jesus in the manger, returned glorifying and praising God for all the things they had heard and seen. Their reaction is completely understandable since it is impossible to have a personal encounter with Jesus and not come out glorifying and praising HIS NAME. It is our hope that this Christmas each of us will take the time to glorify and praise the Lord for who He is and for what He does in and through us. Merry Christmas!

God has been doing marvelous things in Rancagua, Chile! We want to share with you that we see His good hand blessing our family and ministry.

Our Family: We rejoice with Andrés because he has just finished school and has graduated to fifth grade. So, he's officially on summer vacation. On September 30, he turned 10 and was able to share the experience of climbing a mountain with a nice group of friends. Jacqueline finally has her driver's license, and she is happy in the job she has been at for almost six months. Thank the Lord she has adapted well to her new life in the USA and is being with her sister. Natalia is looking for a job, we ask you to pray that the Lord will give her a new job soon. We are grateful for the help Natalia has given Jacqueline in her transition to living in the USA, she has been a blessing to her little sister. Miguel, Sarah-Cate and our four grandchildren are doing very well, the children are growing up healthy and beautiful. Leona, the youngest, is about to walk. We miss seeing and hugging them and hope to spend next Christmas with them.

Ministry Activities from the last three months: The last three months the Lord has blessed us with events that have strengthened the spiritual life of our church.

  • On October 7th, about 150 people gathered on the church property to lay the foundation stone. It was an emotional service, one of worship and gratitude to the Lord for his provision and for what he will do in that place.
  • On November 12th, we had a nice group of people taking the membership class to become an active part of our church.
  • On November 11th, we had our Men’s Breakfast & Bible study with 35 in attendance.
  • On November 19th, we had a baptism class for new believers.
  • On November 26th, we had the baptisms of 10 new believers and a picnic day for the entire church. It was a beautiful day and great fellowship.
  • In October & November, the Women had their monthly Bible study and Tea and in December they had their Christmas celebration.

Activities for the next few weeks:

  • On December 23rd, we have our evangelistic Christmas musical in which we hope to have about 300 people. Pray for this activity that involves many people and many details and for the salvation of souls.
  • During the month of January, we will have the baptism of another group of new believers.

Sunday Services: We continue holding two services Sunday morning with about 200 people in attendance. It's been great to see new people visiting every Sunday and becoming regular attendees. It is truly a blessing to see the church growing.

Church Building Project: Many may be wondering what is happening with the construction. The architect and engineer are finishing the final details of the project and then we need to receive the building permits. For now, we are working on the foundations and the sewage system. We hope that these works can be ready in March. Building permits are the slowest, although we pray that the Lord will expedite these procedures.

Our Support: We have reached 94% of our monthly support goal. We are praying for new people and churches to add to our support and prayer team. Please pray that we can raise our support to 100% before returning to Chile. If you feel moved by the Lord to give, here is our donation information.
