Joel 2:12-13 “Even now,” declares the Lord, “return to me with all your heart, with fasting and weeping and mourning. Rend your heart and not your garments. Return to the Lord your God, for he is gracious and compassionate, slow to anger and abounding in love, and he relents from sending calamity.”

In the last 5 days, about 2 1/2 hours from where we do ministry, there have been a series of wildfires that have devastated many families. As of today, there have been over 130 people who have died, approximately 400 more missing and over 40,000 homes have burned to the ground. Our prayers are with the many families that have lost loved ones and everything they owned. As the Prophet Joel says in the Bible, we pray that this tragedy will turn our nation’s heart to God. We are partnering with a church in that area providing volunteers from our church, clothes, food, and other relief aid and using this opportunity to share the Gospel. We praise the Lord that we still have some funds that our home church and others provided for these situations.

These are a list of ministries that we’ve been doing with our church plant over the last few months:

  • Packed and gave away 100 food boxes with tracts for families in need. · Passed out house to house 200 Christmas cakes with tracts.
  • 250 attended the Christmas musical, over 40 volunteered their time & talents and there were several decisions for Christ.
  • Another Baptism where 4 more made public their decision to follow Christ.
  • March 9th, there will be another baptism!
  • In the last 2 weeks, 56 teens went to summer camp, there were several decisions for Christ and others consecrating their life.
  • There were also, 13 from our church that volunteered 5 weeks of their summer to work in different areas of camp.

We are so excited to have our daughter Natalia 27, visiting us here in Chile after 10 years! She is having a great time visiting with her Abuela and other family members. We are taking a road trip all the way to Iquique with her, to reminisce where she used to live and see friends. Alejandro will also be preaching in Iquique. Pray for Jacqueline 19 who stayed working and taking care of Natalia’s animals in Indiana.

Thank you for your prayers and support. We will keep you updated.
