Operation Christmas Child is an incredible ministry project put together by Samaritans Purse. Churches and families put together shoebox gifts for children around the world. These shoebox gifts are filled with toys and supplies and given to kids that may have never received a gift before,   and with that gift they are told about the gift of Gods son, Jesus.

We want to encourage everyone to get involved in this by finding your own shoeboxes (we have shoeboxes if you need one!) and filling it with all sorts of gifts, toys, and supplies that will bless kids, including: a soccer ball with ball pump, dolls, stuffed animals, toy cars, yo-yos, personal care items, school supplies, socks, and more. For more details, shoebox labels, and a full list of packing suggestions (and a list of what NOT to pack), call the church office or go to: How to Pack a Shoebox (samaritanspurse.org)

When you finish packing the box, bring it back to church (with $10 per shoebox to help cover shippingchecks written out to Samaritans Purse) and set it on the table in the foyer. We will be collecting shoebox gifts on the Sundays of October 29, November 5, and November 12. On that final Sunday, well pray over all the boxes together as a church and celebrate the work that God is doing.
